During the latest replenishment of the GEF (GEF-6, in 2014) 30 donor countries have pledged the record amount of US$4.43 billion to support developing countries' efforts over the next four years to prevent degradation of the global environment.
This booklet is a useful one-stop information source not only for the UNCCD National Focal Points but also for anyone who intends to design projects on sustainable land management for submission to the GEF. It presents 13 questions / answers on GEF-6. We hope that this booklet motivates stakeholders to take advantage of the multiple funding opportunities provided by the GEF.
